And 2 more days.. March 23rd & 24th, 2006. Only 388 LIDs to get through. I tried to explain this to my 81 year old Mom for probably the 10th time. I tried to use something she could relate to... the deli counter at the supermarket (which I've heard someone else use as an analogy). I told her to pretend she wanted some bologna from the deli counter and she went up to pick a number and her number was 390. After getting over the fact that the deli counter tickets don't go that high, I told her to imagine that once a month the guy or gal behind the counter calls out a certain amount of numbers and then that is it for the month. I told her that for August, they only called people who had the tickets with number 1 & number 2 and they aren't going to serve anyone else till next month, and then next month they may serve people with numbers 3, 4, 5 & 6, or maybe they will just call out numbers 3 & 4, it's up to them. Her response, "That's gonna be a loooooong time to wait for bologna!" Yea Mom. That's a really long time.
